After extensive refurbishing over the winter the Timur can offer 4 rooms, 2 with ensuite shower/toilet facilities. Some still might find it lacks the luxury they are seeking but this is more than made up for by the stunning location, possibly the best setting for a pansiyon that I have ever come across in Turkey. The pansiyon is built into the ruins of ancient Assos, 100 metres from the temple of Athena, and waking up to 300 degree panoramic view across the Aegean to the Greek island of Lesbos is an experience worth the 3 hour bus journey south from the busy coastal town of Cannakale.

The owners are a brother and sister team who opened the Timur last year and are eager to please their guests.
