Eskici is an interesting little restaurant, the menu varies from day to day in response to the changing produce in the local markets but the food is consistently well cooked and excellent value. It's very easy to find, as you walk into the town - past the bus company offices - it's right in front of you on the corner of the road that goes down to the harbour. The umbrella shaded tables make a great spot to people-watch from and any restaurant that serves its beer in chilled glasses has an immediate advantage in my book.

Zuhal, the owner and, basically, the soul of the place, keeps the kitchen and restaurant in immaculate condition and you feel as if you're eating in a home, rather than a restaurant. The cuisine includes a range of European and Turkish dishes and draws heavily on the range of fresh produce available in the region with pasta a staple and everything else varying from day to day. If there's something you really fancy for breakfast, lunch or dinner then have a chat and she'll do what she can, if she likes you.

Eskici is open for breakfast and doesn't usually close its doors until late and any time of day you'll find a warm welcome and the above mentioned cold beer.

If you get a chance then have a chat with Zuhal, as mentioned above, she is Eskici and opened the restaurant to cook for friends and people visiting the area. She speaks good English and excellent French so you shouldn't have any trouble communicating, she does like to talk.

Oh yes, one last thing, the vegetarian buffet is excellent and you could quite easily spend all evening sampling that without ever getting around to a main course. Enjoy.
