Hmmm...The Paradise Pansiyon is a firm favourite amongst backpackers and other independent travellers. Located in Goreme, the heart of Cappadocia's fairy chimney country, it provides a great base for exploring this amazing landscape. The owner, Mehmet Bozlak, has set out to provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and throughout the summer the Paradise is a meeting place for travellers from all over the world.

Accommodation
The Paradise has 13 double and triple rooms with or without showers, and dormitory rooms for those of you who juts need a bed. The rooms are clean and comfortable and all the showers have hot water. In the season it's not unusual to see people sleeping on the roof as they wait for an empty room so you might want to email ahead to avoid disappointment.

Clean and comfortable Food and Drink
The kitchen is busy from the morning, where breakfasts include omelettes, french toast, spicy menemen (scramble egg) and the Turkish breakfast plate, to the evening, when the barbeque is fired up. The Paradise makes a special effort to cater to vegetarians, not that usual here. You can also maintian that all important blood alcohol level without too much difficulty. Mehmet also runs the Flintstones cave bar downstairs and you can satisfy most of your bodily cravings without having to go too far.

Things to do
Mehmet knows the area very well, you can often spot him cycling around, and can offer you advice on all your options. If you looking for a tour (within Cappadocia or further afield), want to hire a moped, or just want some advice as to what you should see, you'll find that he knows most of the answers.
